Shimmering Pearl Ex Tutorial

Want to know how to do a neat technique? This is called Pearl Ex Gloss, and it gets GREAT results, so follow along with me and I'll show you how to do it.

First, what you need is: Bold image stamps, Pearl Ex in your favorite colors, Black glossy CS, Versamark, heat gun, Heat & Stick powder, Embossing Buddy, small watercolor brushes, paper towel, Powder Pal tray (optional)

Now, here's how you do it:

1. Rub CS with Embossing buddy first. Then stamp bold images with Versamark onto black glossy cardstock.

2. Pour Heat & Stick powder over stamped images.
3. Shake off excess powder.

4. Heat gently from underneath cardstock, just until the powder gets shiny (DO NOT OVERHEAT!)

5. Using small brushes, apply Pearl Ex in a dabbing motion on top of the sticky images.

6. Heat again from underneath to set the heat & stick powder.

7. Using a paper towel, gently buff images to remove excess powder from around the images.

8. Finished sample.

9. Complete project as desired.
