NSR - Get Checked!

Yep, this is non-stamping-related (NSR). I just want to remind everyone how important it is to get mammograms and do self-exams regularly.

My mothers day was completed by me finding a lump. Yep, my heart went in my throat. I went to the doctor yesterday (hence no posts yesterday), and I'm going to have to get a mammogram now, but the belief is that it's not going to turn out to be anything serious.

However, this is a great wake-up call and a perfect opportunity to remind anyone that is reading this to be sure to take care of yourselves. Too many women don't get pay enough attention to their female health, and after having survived ovarian cancer already thanks to early detection, breast cancer is something I personally don't want to find too late.

SO please take care of yourselves! Check yourself, and get the exams you're supposed to, even if you don't like doing it. It could very well save your life.

Blessings, friends.

Big hugs to you girl! Let us know how you're doing. I know I'm guilty of not doing the exam on a regular basis AND I should since breast cancer is on both sides of my family...along with tons of other forms of cancer. Scray!

Thinking of you!!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you - my mum found a lump while she was visiting us at Christmas 6 years ago - everyone needs to check themselves because mammorgams don't always catch it. The dr said she probably had it for 10 yrs and she had faithfully had her mammograms every year and they had never detected it! Thankfully she is alive and well today :o) Hugs to you Gina! Take care.
