Okay, so I saw a challenge the other day (I think it was called a hannah challenge or something like that, saw it via someone's blog, can't remember who) which used a sketch and told you to make a Christmas in July card with it. Well, I liked the sketch, but didn't want to make a Christmas card for it because I got my new stamps from SU! and couldn't WAIT to use them!! SOOOO, I tweaked the sketch a bit, added my own touches and came up with this fun card:
I also LOVE watercoloring with my SU! markers!!! Just making a few lines with markers on watercolor paper and then blending with an aquapainter makes watercoloring so EASY and FUN! I may just have to play with this technique more soon.... Okay, here's the deets on the card:
Sets: Sock Monkey (coming soon!), Trimtastic (retiring soon)
Colors: Close to Cocoa, Cameo Coral, Creamy Caramel
Other: Aquapainter, Wide twill tape, dimensionals, flower punch (SU!), copper brads (non-SU!), 1/4"circle punch
Have a great day, my friends in stamping!

Gina, this turned out adorable!! Great job watercoloring with the markers...I haven't tried that yet but now I'll have to!!
oh isn't he cute-I didn't realize that he was so big! I think I might have to put him on my wishRAK list. Your watercoloring of him is just perfect, Gina!
I thought I didn't like this monkey - didn't order the set. Well, I only ordered In Color bundle and the scallops punch. Now I am rethinking, this looks lovely. :-)
Very beautiful monkey card...I love the way you tweaked it. The flowers are super pretty.
This is really so cute. I really like how you used the flower in a smaller block to echo the main image.
What a cute card!
Supah cute! I love that sock monkey!
Cute card and I never thought to watercolor with my markers!
Oh Gina - Mr Sock Monkey is just adorable! Great job on this card!
