Because of You

This set was fast becoming one of my faves, and now it's retiring already!! *sniff* I may just have to hang onto it even after it retires because it makes me happy to look at it, and anything that makes me smile, stays.

As for the scan, it's hard to tell (as usual), but the color in the flowers and butterflies actually shimmers. Want to know how I did that?

Mix liquid Gum Arabic with Pearl Ex powder. Then using a watercolor brush, simply paint it on. Let it dry - the nice thing is it doesn't take long if you don't over-wet it.... and then you're done!

If you have leftover mix, don't throw it out! Just leave it to dry out in the open air (DO NOT COVER), and it hardens like a watercolor cake. Then you just need to wet it later and use again. Cool, huh?

As for the lines on the background, I stamped first and then just scored it with the scoring blade on my cutter in even measurements. It's an easy way to create some extra dimension!
